About

Abstract painting allows me the freedom to express myself with acrylic, oil, oil stick, and spray

paint on large and medium-sized canvasses. Bold colors and unique combinations interest

me. Inspired by Gerhard Richter, I use a variety of tools to apply or “squeegee” the paint

creating multiple layers and dimensions. Larger canvasses require a physicality that I enjoy. I

work from all sides of the canvas and often feel that I am inside the painting and channeling

something that wants to come to life with color and light.
